Microfiltration is a technique to physically separate elements. It uses filter membranes with pore diameters between 0.1 and 10 micrometers (microns). Microfiltering water removes suspended matter, microalgae, and bacteria as well as minerals, mycobacteria, protozoa and fungi.
Different filtration technologies
Microfiltration is based on membrane filters with porosities between 0.1 and 10µm. Two types of membrane are currently used: pleated membranes or tubular membranes.
AQUATOOLS uses an innovative technology - tubular membrane microfiltration.
